Sleepy Monkey

Monkey has been terribly sick. It's difficult to determine if he is going for dying seal or miserable kitten. It depends on where Mommy is. He also has been doing a passable duck but I digress.

We are in our third month of trying to convince him that his room is not evil nor does his crib burn him when he touches it. I have been unable to find 600 thread count sheets while I try to make his room feel just like Mommy and Daddy's room.

It just figures - last night I worked until midnight and had to get up to be back at 5:30am (yeah the glamour - I know you are jealous) - so of course I didn't get any sleep. Monkey decided that would be the perfect night to sleep almost the whole night through!
He stole my pillow too.
I'm not bitter at all.

At least he will sleep with you. I would honestly let Nathan sleep with me if 1) He would actually sleep and 2) If he actually liked sleeping in our bed. He only likes his crib to sleep in and yet still gets up at least 2 times a night now. Hmm, maybe if I could fit in his crib... *sigh* I feel your pain though,

Just found your blog. I'm liking it. :-) My son is 10 months. Last night he slept through the night for the first time (we don't count quick visits to replace the paci, which happened twice).

I so hear you! My son is 4 and I am just getting him to sleep alone. I just posted about it today in fact -- one of my favorite things. I'm not sure if this will "stick" though. Good luck. Totally not a fun part of parenting.
